Mindspace Challenge (2017) - Top 3

Our team Moment Biokinetics (N. Michalopoulos, G. Raptis, C. Katsini, M. Mamalakis and Dr T. Chrysikos) placed in the top-3 and qualified for the National Finals. The primary goal of our team is to improve human motion and athletic performance via personalized recommendations.

Falling Walls Lab Greece (2016) - 1st place

Our team (Dr. T. Chrysikos, I. Zisi, Prof. S. Kotsopoulos, C. Katsini, and G. Raptis) won the 1st prize in the Falling Walls Lab Greece in 2016 and qualified for the International Falling Walls Lab Final in Berlin (Germany). Our project titled 'Breaking the Wall of Pancreas E-Health Diagnostics'.

Falling Walls Lab Greece (2016) - 2nd place

Our team (N. Michalopoulos, G. Raptis, C. Katsini, and Dr. T. Chrysikos) won the 2nd prize in the Falling Walls Lab Greece in 2016 and qualified for the International Falling Walls Lab Final in Berlin (Germany). Our project titled 'Breaking the Wall of Kinetic Dysfunction'.

ICCA 2023 - Best presentation award

Our paper 'Towards Evaluating Image Recommendations in Digital News and Media Ecosystem' received the best presentation award in ICCA 2023.

CHI '20 - Honorable mention

Our paper 'The Role of Eye Gaze in Security and Privacy Applications: Survey and Future HCI Research Directions' received honorable mention in ACM CHI 2020. Check the paper here.

I was awarded with UMAP Student Travel Award to attend UMAP 2017 (Bratislava, Slovakia) and present our work titled 'Using Eye Gaze Data and Visual Activities to Infer Human Cognitive Factors: Method and Feasibility Studies'.
